Alonso Tal is a Creative Thinker & Photographer originally from the State of California. Born in Watts, CA with up bringing in Leimert Park, CA.
As a Fashion Merchandising major at Los Angeles TT, Alonso Tal decided he wanted to pursue a different style of work, one without “all the restrictions”—ethical, compositional and otherwise—of Fashion. He studied the books and careers of photographers such as Gordon Parks and Bruce Davidson and, bought a Leica Minilux, and started to explore the grounds of photography .
” He taught himself portraiture by photographing friends and shortly after he started a personal project, “ Wait ” a free-form investigation of the people and landscape of Downtown - Los Angeles, Ca. He’s since expanded the project to an ongoing project titled #MORETRACKBIKE where he shares a look into the Cycling world with an emphasis on the Fixed Gear cycling culture. The project combines landscapes, portraitures, and unpredictable moments. It considers such themes as, Urban cycling, Competition, Travel, and how Geographic & Cultural diverse the sub-culture is and remains.
